Jump Points
Jump Points are places in each solar system where jumpships are located. There are 2 major jump points; Zenith and Nadir and 1 minor jump point; Pirate. Pirate jump points can only be used by pirate nations or Pirate bands until they are revealed during a pirate attack. For Example; the planet Fallon has not had its Pirate Jump Point revealed so it can not be used by the planet's owner, The Federated Suns. Once there is a pirate attack on Fallon then the Pirate Jump Point is revealed for the controlling nation to use. If Fallon were to get conquered after the Pirate Jump Point is revealed what ever nation controlled Fallon after the Pirate Jump Point was revealed can use its location even if they lose control of the planet.
Districts
Each planet is broken up into 4 Districts that contain parts of its economy and defense. Districts can be upgraded. Buildings can only be upgraded to the current level of the District they are in. For example: The Aerospace Port is Level 3 so all buildings inside of it can only be a maximum level of 3. All Districts must be occupied by an invading force in a planetary assault in order to conquer the planet. Districts must be upgraded first and then the buildings inside them can be upgraded to that level.
Level: The Maximum level buildings in it can be upgraded to.
Upkeep: Total upkeep of all buildings and units inside of it.
Soak: What percentage of damage that is transferred to the buildings in the District from damage taken by its defenders. This is cut in half for attackers.
Espionage: This score is used for calculating the success or failure of an Intel mission conducted within the district. This score can be increased by certain units being garrisoned within the District.
Aerospace Port
This District is where a planet's Aerospace Fighter Squadrons, Dropship Groups and Trade Goods are stored. Up to 5 ground units can be assigned to its defense. Aerospace Hanger, Dropship Pads and Warehouses are built here.
Military Base
This District is where the planet's garrison is housed and dictates how many of each type of units can be maintained on the planet. It is also the most fortified district and includes stationary guns as part of its defense. Up to 5 units can be assigned to its defense. Its fortifications can be upgraded like any other structure in the District. Command Bunkers, Maintenance Hanger, Supply Depot, Academy, Barracks, Armor Depot and Mech Bays are built here.
Civilian Center
This District is where the planets's population is. It also contains the Retail Quarter which is what makes the planet its Cbills. Research Labs are also here which improves a variety of things of the nation from income and production to ground unit stats. Housing, Research Lab and Retail Quarter are built here.
Industrial Center
This District is where any unit manufacturing thats built on the planet is located. Because of this it can allow up to 8 units to be assigned to its defense. Infantry Factory, Vehicle Factory, Mech Factory, Aerospace Factory and Dropship Factorys are built here.
Buildings
Buildings are used to represent various aspects of each planet's population's structures. We do understand that some of these planets have more then just the one building we have put in each district and sometimes even more then one city. This merely a simplified representation of these structures for the purpose of giving players a way of improving various aspects of their planets. Here is a list of buildings and their various stats based on their level of development. HP- Hit Points, Cbills To Upgrade- How much it costs to get it to the next level, Upkeep - how much it costs every turn to Maintain.
Orbital Jumpship Yard: This is where Jumpships are constructed and they can not be attacked in any way. Lines - This is how many Jumpships can be under construction at any given time.
Aerospace Hanger: Found in the Aerospace Port, this is where all Aerospace Fighter Squadrons that garrison the planet are housed.
Launch Pads: Found in the Aerospace Port, this is where all Dropship Groups on the planet are garrisoned.
Warehouse: Found in the Aerospace Port, this is where Goods to be sold to other planets during trade agreements or domestic trade are kept.
Fortifications: Found in the Military Base, this is the defensive fortifications of the Military Base District. This will absorb some of the damage done to the defender as well as additional damage to the attackers.
Command Bunker: Found in the Military Base, this is the HQ for the Military Base District. Each Level gives the defending units on the planet a damage bonus during combat.
Maintenance Hanger: Found in the Military Base District, this is where units are sent for repairs. Each Level allows for a certain amount of damage to be repaired per turn.
Supply Depot: Found in the Military Base District, this resupplies all of the units on the planet with Ammo. Each Level allows a certain amount of Ammo to be replenished per turn.
Academy: Found in the Military Base District, this is where Green Level units can be sent to train up to Regular Level units without combat. One can be found in each Prefecture.
Barracks: Found in the Military Base District, this building determines how many Infantry Units can be garrisoned on the planet.
Armor Depot: Found in the Military Base District, this building determines how many Vehicle Units can be garrisoned on the planet.
Mech Bay: Found in the Military Base District, this building determines how many Mech Units can be garrisoned on the planet.
Housing: Found in the Civilian Center District, this building determines the population on the planet.
Research Lab: Found in the Civilian Center District, this building is where all R&D is conducted. Research Labs can only be found on a nation's capital planet.
Retail Quarter: Found in the Civilian Center District, this building is where Goods from other planets are sold. Sales Multiplier is the number Goods are multiplied by to determine how much Cbills were made in their sales to the population. 10 percent is subtracted and added to the planet's income as sales tax while the rest is sent back to the planet the goods originated from.
Infantry Factory: Found in the Industrial Center District, this building is where Infantry Units are created.
Vehicle Factory: Found in the Industrial Center District, this building is where Vehicle Units are created.
Mech Factory: Found in the Industrial Center District, this building is where Mech Units are created.
Aerospace Factory: Found in the Industrial Center District, this building is where Aerospace Units are created.
